Just the facts.....

As we are in the "Silly Season", right before an election, it would be easy to be drawn into the vortex of negativity - but I have promised to keep this campaign at a higher level, to remain positive, and I will.
Below, while remaining positive, there are a few recent statements on social media that, in fairness to the voters, should not be left uncorrected.
Unfortunate and disappointing, as none of the writers knows me or my record of public service. - Nor did they take the time to contact me for accurate information. before offering comments about me, so in summary:
I have been accused of being a "handpicked" candidate of Supervisor DePue, if not others. Nothing could be further from the truth. My decision to run for Supervisor was made long before I heard that Mr. DePue was not running for reelection. Out of courtesy and respect for his many years of public service, I advised him that I would be running.
I did not ask for permission, as none was needed. It was my decision in consultation with my family. Period. He congratulated me and wished me well.
Anyone making a claim that I was handpicked is either misinformed or intentionally attempting to mislead the voters. The FACT is that I have spoken to both of the other two Supervisors and told them very clearly that while I will be a cooperative member of the Board, NO ONE should think that I will be a YES MAN, or an automatic second vote.
It has been claimed that someone is campaigning for me. This is inaccurate. NO ONE is authorized to speak for me. If campaigning needs to be done, I will do it myself. I do not have anyone authorized as a mouthpiece, not to write opinions on Nextdoor or anywhere else on social media of any type on my behalf.
Again, anyone making such a claim is either misinformed or intentionally attempting to mislead the voters.
It has erroneously been stated that I have attended only a single supervisor's meeting. Again, inaccurate and misleading. The FACT is that I attended my first meeting long ago, sat in the back row, did not introduce myself, nor make any public comments. I watched, listened, and learned. A few months later, I again attended a meeting, sat quietly, and I watched, listened, and learned more. I next attended a town hall monitored by one of the Supervisors, at which time we all received an update on various township projects and initiatives. I think that I may have asked a question or two, but mostly attended to learn more about the township and the conduct at our public meetings. I have attended two annual "trunk and treat" community events, where I met many more neighbors and voters, listening to them carefully. I have attended two community Easter Egg Hunts, helping at the last one, again listening and learning. I have attended many Planning Commission meetings as a citizens volunteer, learning even more about Haycock from my fellow members.
Anyone making a claim that I attended only a single event or meeting before deciding to run for Supervisor is again misinformed, or intentionally attempting to mislead the voters.
I watched, looked, and listened before deciding to run, and when that decision was made - IT WAS MINE AND MINE ALONE.
If you vote and elect me, I will be obligated to the voters and only the voters.
That is one FACT you can depend upon.
Thanks for reading, before deciding.
Bob
PS - In case you hear, I recently had two somewhat overzealous "helpers', putting up signs some at locations where they should not have been. I just spent the last two hours taking them down, and I will continue to do so if others come to my attention. Honest mistake and now being corrected.
My apologies.
